Collaborative Creative Coding
Above: an early version of Joukkue being used by the attendees of the Creative Code Jam - Berlin in January 2015.
Joukkue, “group” in Finnish, is a collaborative tool for having fun with friends who can code. It’s like a game, in which the participants write code to paint on a shared canvas. The players express themselves through code, learn from each other, react to the graphics generated by other players and reply with their own code.
It’s like a chat, but instead of exchanging words you exchange shapes, colors and animation.
Joukkue is Free Libre Open Source Software. It can be found at https://github.com/hamoid/joukkue
