The original name of my November 2024 solo-exhibition Bodyless Performing was actually Bodyless Performing In The Year 2525, inspired by the song by Zager and Evans.
In it, the authors describe a 7,000-year span predicting that humanity’s thoughts, relationships and bodies will be negatively impacted by technological advances and ends with mankind’s extinction.
Borrowing its title from a Flaming Lips song about the future, All We Have Is Now is a real-time screen-based work depicting a continuous cycle of growth and decay, reflecting how our short lives on this planet flare up, fade away, and feel both beautiful and fleeting.
