I wrote this program which inspired me to try out with paper. I think I’ve worked too much with computers, in which things have a z-index. Things are either above or below other objects. Reality is more complex :)

Testing one approach for the wheels of a robot. Tons of translate() and rotate(). The distance between boxes is not maintained. For a real robot, this would not work, but it’s visually interesting. Notice how the outer ring feels faster when moving straight, but slower when turning.
