Orbiting around moving targets

Seven consecutive waypoints. A moving target. Depending on the trajectories, sometimes the system falls into an orbit, and the waypoint would never be passed. To solve that, the particle’s acceleration is slowly reduced, to allow it to fall into the attractor, and then switch to the next waypoint.
In these examples, there were randomly 4, 5 and 6 orbits, some easier to escape than others.
