Old 3D video loop made with Amiga
02/25/2016
An 80 frame loop I rendered on an Amiga computer in 1996. With 320 x 256 pixels, It used to be full screen at the time. I created it with a Finnish animation program called Real 3D. Something unique in that program was that you had parametric (infinite resolution) surfaces. At the time other 3D programs seemed quite crappy to me, because they all used triangles to represent surfaces.

Tomorrow I’m joining a workshop about Clojure & Thi.ng so I’ve been preparing a bit. I’ve tried LightTable, Emacs and Eclipse as editors. I’ve been doing the Clojure Koans and reading Clojure for the Brave and True. This image was generated using Quil, the Clojure port of Processing.
Drawing with a 3D printer

Progress on removing one dimension. Curve interpolation on Inkscape. Then export gcode and use Pronterface to send the design to a second generation RepRap Prusa 3D printer.
For a long time I’ve been wanting to create a painting machine. Very happy to see it finally happen.
